Joe Batterton and Mark Edwards are an acoustic blues duo from North Central Arkansas. Their sound is centered around the acoustic Delta Blues of the Arkansas and Mississippi Delta. Even their original songs have a grounded, organic feel to them reminiscent of a time long gone but somehow still very relevant. They have been performing together for nearly two decades and in that time they have had the privilege of playing several legendary blues venues and festivals including Ground Zero Blues Club and Juke Joint Festival in Clarksdale MS, The Blue Front Cafe in Bentonia MS, and the Eureka Springs Blues Party just to name a few. They are the 2 time winners the Ozark Blues Society of NW Arkansas Blues Challenge, winning in 2024 and 2025. They have competed in the International Blues Challenge on Beale Street in Memphis TN in January 2025. Both men are lifelong musicians. Their influences range from Robert Johnson and Mississippi John Hurt to John Hartford and Doc Watson which has allowed them to develop their own spin on the country blues.
